UMAIFY
UMAIFY (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a mobile application that helps creators plan short-form video content. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.
1. Who we are
UMAIFY is the operator of the UMAIFY mobile app (iOS and Android). For privacy questions, contact privacy@umaify.com.
2. Data we collect
Account and profile (Firebase Authentication)
When you sign up or sign in with email and password, we use Google Firebase Authentication to verify your identity. We store:
- Email address and display name (if provided)
- Firebase user identifier (linked to your app account)
- Onboarding preferences: business type, platforms, goals, and content purpose text
We require email verification before full app access in production.
Content you create
- AI-generated and manually saved ideas (titles, hooks, captions, hashtags, etc.)
- Planner entries (dates, times, platforms, status)
- Usage counters for free-plan limits (generations, library, planner slots)
Subscriptions (RevenueCat)
If you purchase UMAIFY Pro, RevenueCat processes the store transaction. We receive subscription status and plan identifiers tied to your app user ID—not your full payment card details (handled by Apple or Google).
Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
With your permission, we store a device push token and notification preferences to send planner reminders and optional engagement messages. Tokens are removed when you log out or disable notifications in the app.
AI processing (OpenAI)
When you generate or regenerate ideas, or enrich your content purpose, we send relevant profile context and prompts to OpenAI to produce suggestions. We do not sell this data.
Technical and diagnostic data
- App language/locale preference
- Basic analytics events in development builds (e.g. login, signup, logout)
- Server logs (request metadata, error logs) on our API host
We do not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, or photos from your device for core app features.
3. How we use data
- Provide authentication, sync, and account recovery
- Generate and store your content ideas and planner schedule
- Enforce free vs. Pro plan limits
- Send optional push notifications you allow
- Operate, secure, and improve the service
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where applicable, we rely on contract (providing the app), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and consent (push notifications).
5. Sharing and subprocessors
We share data only with service providers that help us run UMAIFY:

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Retention
- Account data is kept while your account is active.
- When you delete your account (Settings), we delete your app data from our database and remove your Firebase Authentication user.
- Backups and logs may retain residual data for a limited period before automatic purging.
- Subscription records may be retained as required for tax, fraud prevention, or store policies.
7. Security
We use HTTPS, authenticated API access (Firebase ID tokens), and industry-standard hosting practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To delete your account, use Settings → Delete account in the app, or email privacy@umaify.com.
9. Children
UMAIFY is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
